Font Won't Change Sizes

First off, thanks for being here.
I bought a Sony PRS-600 two months ago. I promptly purchased six books. Of those six, I could not change to font (to larger) on four of those books. I contacted Sony Books 3 weeks ago. (It was a busy Summer). After trying a few things (unplug, delete, reload, etc), I was told that the "manufacturer" of the books would be contacted and told to correct the problem. After a new edition was made, I'd be sent the instructions on how to download the "corrected" books. Well, I called them today since it had been longer than they promised. Sony credited me the purchase price of the books. Yippee! So I downloaded another book that I wanted, and you guessed it, I cannot enlarge the font! Now, I'll tell you that 4 of the now 5 books that I can't enlarge are from the same author.
I'm at a loss. One of the highlights of this particular EReader is that I can enlarge the font (so I don't have to wear my glasses).
Who do I contact now? Sony probably hears this daily. I doubt the Author would know what to do.
I know I can "zoom", but it doesn't look the same.
Advice is appreciated, but I'm also wondering if anyone else has had the same issue. All of my books are EPUB format.
Once again, I look forward to reading the posts and appreciate the tips I'm seeing so far.

What format ebook are you downloading? If it is LRF or epub there should be no issues. Have you tried to download one from this forum to see if it works? If not choose any ebook in the LRF style and see what happens then.
