				Hello from the Bahamas

Hello everyone. I've received an Augen The Book as a gift and am searching for help with it. As a guest, I've read very helpful information and am now hoping that I can get a little more insight into it. Since the manufacturer's site is so limited, I really appreciate the opportunity to get the advice of other users here. Dorlys |

Hi Dorlys Welcome to Mobileread. I hadn't heard of an Augen until now. It looks like it can read quite a few file types including MOBI and EPUB. I have a Kindle (which reads MOBIs) so if you are looking for more books I suggest have a look at this post in MobileRead: Where to Get Kindle Books |

With Mobi and ePub ability on your Augen, Dorlys, you have a massive choice of free and paid-for books available from a huge range of places. If you want to test it out, why not download a few free classics and other Public Domain titles right here from the MobileRead library. And if you want something bang up to date, visit the bookstore section of my own site (linked below) and email me with a couple of titles that catch your eye. I'd be happy to send them over with our compliments to help kick-start your library. One thing I think most here would agree is a must for you is a free download of Calibre library software (there's a Calibre forum here, too with all you need to know). This will help you store and catalogue your new ebooks and even convert them from format to format at the click of a mouse. Very best wishes. Thanks again to everyone. I never cease to be amazed at the generosity of folks to spend their time sharing advice and ideas with others. Hard to understand why the world is in such a mess when so many are so kind and generous! I just returned from a wonderful vacation--had hoped to get the Augen in shape to take along--and as soon as I get caught up will renew my efforts to update the reader and download some books. If all else fails, my son will soon be visiting, and I'm sure that he can download all the information and extra features that will allow me to download some good books. In the meantime, when I have some spare time, I will continue reading some of the classics that were preloaded. Thank you everyone! Dorlys |
