Photos of central Italy from a stratospheric balloon
In this post to the Space Tweep Society blog I told about the first launch of StratoSpera, an Italian amateur stratospheric balloon project of which I am a member: The first StratoSpera flight, from launch to Meco. The balloon, which we launched from Tuscany in central Italy, reached a maximum altitude of 27.6 km.
The payload included a camera that took many beautiful photos, see the project site where more will be posted. My favorite one is an eerie view of the burst balloon tangled to the payload and parachute during descent. The camera also shot a few videos: * ascent * high altitude * high altitude * descent |
