Still "Shipping Soon"

Hello,

I placed my Kindle preorder on July 29th (one day shipping), and my Kindle still says "shipping soon". It's been the same all day, since I checked it when I woke up. My lighted cover still says "shipping soon" also, but the delivery estimate is the 26th (one day shipping). I am hoping they will come together tomorrow, but it doesn't look like it. It's the Kindle 3G in graphite, and I am located in NJ. I changed the shipping on the 22nd from free 2-day to one day, and am wondering if this is why it's still "shipping soon". Also, I heard someone say you can retry the payment, but I don't see an option from the open orders page.

I would send that to Amazon and see what they say. I don't think you'll get any concrete answers by asking here.

If it's any consolation, I ordered on the 28th, around 5-10 mins after it went live, and mine's "shipping soon" too. Shouldn't have sold my Kindle 2 so quick. I'm fiending.

I'm in NJ, too. Ordered on the 28th. My Kindle shipped. Case says shipping soon. I'm sure that will be sent out tonight.

Complete opposite for me. My case just shipped, but my Kindle still hasn't. Case is supposed to come tomorrow, hope the Kindle comes with it.

Mine has not given me a date yet either, I ordered on July 29th.

Then again I am from Canada.. so I am sure I am not as high on the list.

I still don't have a ship notification but at least they're finally saying "This portion of your order is being prepared for shipment and cannot be canceled or changed." Woot!

I ordered 7-30, next day shipping, and I live in California if that helps.

Ordered July 31. "Shipping soon".

ETA update (Aug. 26 at 7:00 PM EDT):
Both Kindle and cover have shipped! Estimated arrival dates are Aug. 27 for the cover and Aug. 30 for the K3. Can't wait (duh)!

they charged by debit card today so that's a good sign. says preparing shipment, but i think it already went out.

You do? Good. My case is out for shipment. Hopefully the Kindle comes with it.

I received my shipping email late last night. Scheduled delivery is Friday, so I'm a happy camper. (I ordered the 28th.)
