Constructing an URL-Filter to pull a comic archive
Just came across a funny site with one-panel daily comics:
http://www.nichtlustig.de/main.html (German) Unfirtunately, the site is not at all PDA friendly - though the comics have a neat square 400x400 format that kind of begs to be converted for 320x320 screens... Question one: All Comics from the mid of May 2002 are available in this format: http://www.nichtlustig.de/comics/full/030819.jpg Can one instruct iSilo to pull URLs that change dynamically based on the day, i.e. substitute the date name of the JPEG file like this? http://www.nichtlustig.de/comics/full/[yy][mm][dd].jpg Question two: Do you see an efficient way to pull the whole archive and compress it into one file - using iSilo's new lossy compression feature? |
