PB 360 Rattle

Okay I am hoping this is not a serious issue! I noticed last night that when I moved my PB360 it made a little rattle noise, like a piece of plastic was loose inside of it.

My first thought was it was the cover or the micro sd card slot, it does not appear to have been those. Removed the cover and it still made the noise, and I don't have anything in the sd card slot.

I opened the back and checked the battery, which seemed fine.

I put the battery cover back on and then shook it a few more times and the sound went away.

Here is crossing my fingers that it was nothing serious!

Anyone have this happen?

Its probably the battery moving around in its compartment. I noticed this too at first which freaked me out. Sounds just like a small piece of plastic. But after situating the wires in the battery compartment in a better fashion which put pressure on the top of the battery the rattle stopped.

If you do this be careful of the wires they are very thin. I would suggest just taking a very small piece of cardboard and folding it and sticking it at the bottom of the battery between the battery and compartment which should have the same effect as what I did.

It was me. The end result was a loose screw in the reader which I removed thanks to the great instructions Fork sent me.

Try the battery advice. If there is a recurring rattle, please tell us and we will tell you how to get rid of that.

I had one rattle (like in Kaas' case, a lose screw) and I do have one now. I'm going to try the battery advice, it's worrying me :O

Use the battery trick and please tell me when there's still a rattle. Sometimes a screw gets loose on the earlier devices.

So I folded a business card over and placed it over the battery and put the cover back on. At this point it seems to have taken care of the rattle.

Update... the mystery rattle disappeared just as mysteriously as it appeared. Its been weeks since I heard it and everything is working just fine with the device.
