Recharging with Apple's USB charger?
Hello, I'm new to ebooks and ebook readers, and I was wondering whether it is possible to recharge my iRiver Story EB02 using Apple's USB charger for its iDevices and the USB cable that comes with the iRiver... Sorry if this question has been asked before, I tried looking for it with the search function but didn't find a clear answer.

This should be possible. USB is rated at 5V and 500mA. As far as I know, some of Apple's devices like the iPod Touch need more current than 500mA, so your adapter may provide something like 1000mA. This is a good thing, don't worry, your Story will only draw as much current as needed. So make shure the adapter provides 5V (no more, no less) and at least 500mA.
I recharge my Story with a similar adapter sold for the Nintendo DSi and it works fine. |

Yes the adapter's output is 5 volt. I was affraid I might fry my eBook if the mA of the iPod adapter was too high. Seems to work fine though.
