Dark screen

my sony reader screen is very dark, with the menus barely visible. it doesnt even appear to be turning on. I just got it today, is it a defective unit? any possible fix? thanks

p.s. i already tried resetting didn't work5

Going to sound stupid. Have you charge it or plug it in for a few minutes then turn it on.

Do you use a good lamp to shine on the screen?

It does not light the screen itself

Darn forgot about the no lite... Usualy use normal light.

Sorry to hear about the problem. Sounds like a defective screen. Probably an electrical fault which is keeping the screen from separating the tonal shades. Take it back.

back to the sony store it's going, i hope the new one is problem free
