New ticket created for hosted calibre environment
Hi,
I just created a ticket for this, but I'm wondering if any of you have seen this. A search revealed similar problems, but nothing that applied. I am running calibre in a hosted Xen VM with Ubuntu Lucid 10.04 (at Linode) and I am getting this on startup: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/kovid/build/calibre/src/calibre/gui2/main.py", line 251, in initialize File "/home/kovid/build/calibre/src/calibre/gui2/main.py", line 231, in initialize_db File "/home/kovid/build/calibre/src/calibre/gui2/main.py", line 200, in initialize_db_stage2 File "/home/kovid/build/calibre/src/calibre/gui2/main.py", line 155, in start_gui File "/home/kovid/build/calibre/src/calibre/gui2/ui.py", line 133, in initialize File "/home/kovid/build/calibre/src/calibre/gui2/device.py", line 644, in __init__ File "/home/kovid/build/calibre/src/calibre/gui2/device.py", line 114, in __init__ File "/home/kovid/build/calibre/src/calibre/devices/scanner.py", line 149, in __init__ RuntimeError: DeviceScanner requires the /sys filesystem to work. Any thoughts? I know these systems don't have USB hardware. |
