Automatic adding of cover art from folder?
Hi All
I have just started using Calibre which is great and imported a load of books. I have previously kept all of the cover art in the same or sub folder of the ebook but when importing into the Calibre library it is not used. Is there a function/plugin or something that can detect the covers in the same folder as the original ebook and add them. I am aware I can have Calibre download them again but would prefer to use the ones I have. Thanks in advance |

If you have only the book in different formats and a cover in the subfolder, adding the book as "subfolders, one book per folder, different format" ought to do the trick.

IIRC, the importer wont pick up a cover unless there's also an OPF file that points to the cover image in the folder.

I know it's not automatic, but if you open the 'Edit metadata' window, you can then 'Browse' for the cover or use a Drag'n'Drop from the cover file into the cover window.

you can drag and drop covers directly onto the book details panel to update them, there's no need to open the edit metadata window
