Synonym for the word "Library"?

Hi!

My girlfriend is working on a university project that is supposed to reorganize and relabel the library of her university section. She's a design student.

In the course of that project, the paticipants are supposed to find an alternative name for the "Library".

Since it's not really easy, I though i'd get some outside help and ask all of my friends here at mobileread for advice. Since we are all book-minded people, maybe somebody will come up with a good solution. It's one of the good-old paper-book-libraries by the way...

The synonym should be either German or English. Either a synonym for "library (bibiolthek) in general or design-library (Bibliothek des Fachbereichs Gestaltung).

Thanks for your suggestions!

Book house? Reading Repository? Homeless shelter? Libraries were originally temples so Book Temple? Where Librarians Work? Book assemblage?

No good single synonym word I can think of.

Apparently in German all three of these mean library:
Deutsch (German)
n. - Bibliothek, Bücherei, Sammlung

I don't think anything is wrong with the word library (Bibliothek), and neither does my girlfriend, but apparently the professor who leads the project think's it's too old-fashined or something. I personally don't think it makes sense to change the name...

Thanks for your suggestions so far, more are welcome, especially from the German-Speakers...
