Grouping identical books inside calibre
Hi all
After inserting all my book folders in calibre, I've noticed many of my books are the same but they are not grouped in the same entry. is there any way (other than deleting and inserting again) to group the same book in different formats into the same entry in calibre? thanks Last edited by joselitux; 05-25-2010 at 01:00 PM. |

Select all the entries you want to merge into a single entry, right-click, select Edit Metadata and then the Merge option. This will merge both the formats and the metadata under a single entry. The first one clicked becomes the master as far as any meta-data conflicts are concerned.

This procedure seems to work but I still got as many entries as before doing it.
I got three entries for "third Wave - Alvin toffler" . One in PDF, other in LRF and one more in TXT. Right click > edit meta information > merge into first selected book keeping others The tree entries are not merged into one. Calibre is keeping three different entries.
