Good to have your company, Soccerma. As Cassidy says, your problem is formatting. The Kindle is Mobi exclusive, whereas ePub is fast becoming standard elsewhere -- including, I guess -- ebook libraries. I've never borrowed from an online library, but it surprises me that they don't seem to offer format options for downloadinh. Best wishes. Neil

Welcome to MobileRead, soccerma3.
You can read library books on your k......but it involves using a library that carries mobipocket ebooks, running a script on your computer after downloading the book, then transferrring to your kindle. As neilmarr said, most libraries are using epub more and more......check your local library for their selection. The book still 'closes' after the loan period, it doesn't allow you to keep it forever. We used to be able to tell you how to do this, but Amazon made us take the directions down. A search for 'kindlefix' perhaps might help.... |

Thanks everyone! Great, great advice. So I will see if the libraries have mobipocket ebooks. I use calibre to change PDF books to Mobi...however, the library has PDF forms but I don't think I can transfer it to kindle...or can I? I have tried to convert to Mobi but the DRM keeps me from doing that..however..I wonder if I hooked up my Kindle to computer if I can dwnload the pdf right to kindle...anyone?? Thanks for all the help everyone!!
