Kobo E-reader Videos
crossposted from The Digital Reader
Kobo just posted 2 new videos on Youtube. (BTW, they also uploaded the Kobo on iPad video.) One video is a teaser, the other a demo. Enjoy. Last edited by Nate the great; 03-31-2010 at 12:53 PM. |

No justification?
By the way, those 2 videos are identical. |

I like the ability to read in sans-serif fonts! I like the reader, but the blue button looks stupid.

On the other hand, it's $149. I can handle a little "looks stupid" at that price. Esp. if it gives me the ability to read library books and non-Kindle ePubs.

Looks like they're gonna go along with Amazon with the ridiculous cartoon animations to represent imagination...because naturally people who read can't imagine things in any way other than children's doodles.
And yeah...the reader looks like a piece of junk, like all the other Chinese cookie-cutter readers out there. Last edited by LDBoblo; 04-01-2010 at 10:24 AM. |

I'm sure a lot of people who think ebook readers are a waste of money now would happily buy such toys if they were available at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, that's not the case yet.

You could say the same about Ferrari cars. The fact that many people consider them to be overpriced and a waste of money does not mean that there isn't a market for them at the price that they do sell for.
