Here is a interesting documentary video on how books were built back in the day.

wow - that was enlightening .... it's now much more logical to understand how an e-book can be priced higher than a h-book ......

Where was the button for changing the font?
I believe that was what the publishers showed the authors before they negotiated the revenue splits. "You and your quaint little typewriter. Look at all my costs." Sadly the split remains. |

Thanks for posting this excellent video. It's interesting to see how much work it takes to make a book.

Thank you for that - fascinating (Promised myself I wouldn't start ranting about comparative production costs and ebook pricing)

Who ever heard of a writer wearing a suit. Ridiculous.

This was excellent! No wonder books were expensive..
Wonder what their excuses are for the big book prices these days? |

That certainly makes me appreciate the books I have from the 1800s even more. I wonder how much more tedious it was to make books back then with less (or no) automation.

and even prior to the printing press ... monks in cells for days on end, with only ink quills and candles .... and before them ! my they even wrote on stone walls and cave walls - how utterly primitive ....
