Hi...
Hi all,
I have just purchased the kindle 2 and am now working through my first ebook, The Mysterious Island by Jules Verne. At first i found it difficult to read on the gray paper of the kindle, but once i got used to that, i am very pleased with it......the eye falls nicely on the page and the font is easy to read .... |

Good to have your comany, Cartilas. You'll probably soon find -- as most of us here have -- that treebooks hold no appeal if there's an ebook alternative. This from a lifelong bookworm who's only had an ebook reader for a year or so. Welcome to the club. Neil

Hi cartilas and welcome to MR. It has been a little while since I last read a tree book, but it seems that I have less eye strain with the eBook reader. My eyes seem to like the grey background in the PRS-505, and the letters are nice and crisp. I have seen your Kindle 2 and I was very impressed by it too. It wasn't available in Canada when I bought my Sony.
Your mention of the Jules Verne book reminds me of yet another book I have to re-read. I read that one an awfully long time ago and forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder. Thanks for jumping in and introducing yourself. Nice to meet you. ~jim |
