Starship Troopers on 505?

Hiya

I regretfully can not find the Robert Heinlein book Starship Troopers for the 505. I own a paper copy.
Any suggestions on how to find a legit Sony e-reader copy of this book? I tried the torrent stuff, and the formatting is awful, lots of wrong carriage returns (yeah I'm old) and weird symbols here and there. It was bad to the point I stopped reading at the 8th page and started another book (legit download from the Sony store) The Lost Fleet (first book, Dauntless).
Thanks

The only places I know of that have it for sale are the UK booksellers WH Smith and Waterstones, both sell ADE ePub which is compatible with the Sony.

You can use one of the price comparison searches:

eBookPrice.info
ebooks.addall.com
inkmesh.com

Look for an ePub version that is readable on your PRS-505.

Located Starship Troopers at Waterstones

I don't know of the quality or if there are geographical restrictions.

Oh my!

I love the internet. Thanks to you for the great suggestions.

So I updated the firmware + reader library, then installed Adobe Digital Editions.
I bought the ePub pdf from Waterstones and installed it on my 505 reader with the Adobe DE software.
The Book looks great on the reader, looking forward to continue reading this great book.
Regards!

PS
Looks like UK Waterstones had no issue selling the book to a Canadian (living in Canada).
Oddly enough the book "The Lost Fleet - Dauntless" on the Sony eBook Store had a "US only" version and another one that I was allowed to buy.

Enjoy your reader and new eBook.

Stranger in a Strange Land was the very first science fiction book I read.

Cheers from Vancouver

You can also use a conversion program (2ePub dot com is one of the easiest) to convert PDF's to epub formats. The epubs are about 1/3rd of the PDF file size.

Just for your sake in the future. PDF and ePub are two totally different formats. Both can be read by ADE, but generally folks prefer the way ePub displays on their readers as opposed to how PDF displays (most PDF's are set up for a larger screen and some don't reflow all that well). Just wanted to make sure you know there is a difference.

Glad you got your book, it's a good one.

Yep.

The Lost Fleet series changed mid way through the series to be geographically restricted for about 3/4 of the reading world. I purchased books 1-5 on Fictionwise and several weeks ago could only re-download 3 of them. (I had copies anyway, downloaded immediately after buying them, then liberated). One week later, I could not re-download any of them.

Annoyance!

Yeah, I verified, and I'm able to buy all 6 books from Canada, on the Sony Store. They have 6 US-only books, and 6 other books that I seem to be able to purchase.

Cheers from Montreal Beach! I lived a year in Vancouver. I miss the real beach.

I loved Stranger in a strange land.

I would suggest you try John Scalzi's "Agent to the Stars". A funny story that I would classify as a mix of Stranger in a Strange Land and the Hitchiker's guide to the galaxy. A great light funny sci-fi read. I read that one after I got John Scalzi's Old Man's War (great book!)
