PRS-505 Ok brand new here...but ive had my reader for years...

Hey guys. Ive been lookin here for a while now and cant find what Im lookin for. So instead of bein a lurker now Im sayin hi and asking haha. Ive had my 505 for whew I cant even remember but since its came out pretty much. What Im lookin for is a page count. Like a stat....Id LOVE to tell yall right now how many pages ive turned. know what I mean? Maybe im spoiled cause my machines at work have service counters etc but whatever lol....and sorry for the spelling etc im doin this from my phone.

Edit: My page button on the right is white now...the arrow and silver is worn off =]

PRS+ is some kind of Firmware replacement which adds more stuff to the reader. I'm not sure what the latest updates bring, but I think that I saw what you're looking for. Actually, I just checked the project page and the following are the latest functions released in a beta version:

•Localization (Catalan, Czech, Deutsch, English, French, ქართული, Русский, Spanish)
•page per minute / remaining time settings for PageIndex
•dictionary by Clemenseken & Lisac (to use it, put your dictionary files int /database/system/PRSPlus/dictionary. Dictionary files MUST have "dic" extension)
•Book History by kravitz
•option to set default zoom size, limit available zoom steps by kravitz
•Main menu customization by kravitz
•Introduced "safe mode", if reader is connected to USB during startup, PRS+ does not load.
•PRS+ settings moved to /opt0, PRS+ addons and core are now built into firmware

I haven't noticed any mention of an ongoing page count. I do know that the 505 dev corner forum has a lot going on (as Mike_73 posted).

Good to have your company, Neupy. Like yours, my own 505 has been so heavily used that the arrow signs on the buttons are now worn away. I know where they were, though, and the buttons are still perfectly responsive, so it's no problem. Guess it would only matter if you wanted to sell your machine ... and I would never part with mine.
