Can't remember a title, please help

There was a book I read as a child and would like to find it for my son but I cannot remember the title. It was about two boys who went to visit their grandparents in Germany and everyday their grandfather would tell them a story about a prankster in medievil times. I think the pranksters name may have been Ollie and I remember the cover of the book was mostly brown! I would apreciate if anyone knows what I am talking about
