PRS-300 English dictionary for PRS-300

I am considering to get a PRS-300 as PRS-600 is a bit pricey for my budget and Kindle 2, apart from the price, does not work outside of the US), but still put off by the lack of an English dictionary. I used mobilepocket reader to read books off my Wimo & Symbian phones, and they both have dictionary (well, they dont come with built-in, you just download the Oxford English dictionary to the device and it works seamlessly, just highlight the text, right click and you can look up the meaning). Wonder if I can do same with the PRS-300, or, for that matter, the PRS-550? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Not on the PRS-300; it not only lacks the application but also does not have a touchscreen nor a cursor, so there is no way to select a word.

Dura, thanks for getting back to me promptly. What a bummer! So what about the Kindle, it does not have touch screen, no? So how do you select text? Thanks again

Is there a dictionary hack on the 505 ?
Just curious as reports are saying that the 300 is just a shrunken 505.

The Kindle has a navigation controller that moves a cursor; it can be rather time-consuming, but it works.

If you really want a dictionary feature I'd recommend the 600 because it's so fast and easy, just double tap a word.

There is a hack indeedfor the 505, but it needs to be on a sd card, so it can be popped in and out when needed. Since the 300 doesn't have a card slot, the hack cannot work on it.

I also think that the 600 has a very well implemented dictionary. Allthough it only works with American or British English. No other dictionaries available. Hacking into the dictionaries didn't get too far yet. I've heard of problems there.
I think that the kindle with its keyboard should at least provide the ability to search for a word within a dictionary once you found an unknown word in a novel. With that, you could put any language dictionary on it (but look deeper into that if this could be an option as I don't have real experience with the kindle).

I like that I can also look up words on my 600 via on screen keyboard.
