Sony Store software
Over the last few months I kept complaining over my inability to correctly load the software to access the Sony Store. Well, my problem has been solved. A few weeks ago I fried the motherboard on my laptop at home. Given that my previous laptop was about 6 or 7 years old, I felt that I'd be wasting my $ to have a new motherboard put in.

So last Friday I went out and bought a new laptop. It came with Windows 7, 64 bit, installed. Yesterday I downloaded the latest Sony store software. I didn't have a bit of trouble with it. However with all the trouble I was having before I held my breath expecting to hang up somewhere. It was a big sigh of relief when it ended!!

Good to Know! I have had some similar issues with the Reader Software. I'm hopeful that my time for a new computer is fast approaching so perhaps my problems will be solved at that point too.

I wonder if some Sony support rep will see this and add it to the knowledge base. Next time you call Sony support:

Q. Hello... I am having problems installing my Sony Library Software...

A. Wait a sec... let me look that up. A here we go... if you buy a new computer with Windows 7 on it, then it should work. have a nice day.

Unfortunately, it will still be barely worth the effort!

Some of the worse software I have ever encountered. Every time I connect to it, it tries to create a bunch of spurious collections which I then have to manually delete. A sort of anti incentive to buying anything from the Reader Bookstore.
