If this is a 1972 book then it is still in copyright (unless the author has given permission, or released the book under a creative commons licence, or similar).
We can't allow links that risk violating copyright, so I'm afraid that I'm going to delete it.
But if you have the author's permission, Pankaja, then repost it.

It does seem to be a copyright violation. A search on this author throws up the following:

Hmmm, but careful when you want to reformat it. What constitutes as a "medium"? Digital versus paper? Txt versus PDF?

Well, if I upload the pdf version that is on krishna.com, then I will not break the law. Anything else becomes bickering.

It's not that easy. Krishna.com may have received the right to distribute a PDF version; it doesn't automatically imply that you also have the right.

I guess the sentence "You can distribute this evaluation copy in its entirety to others over the Internet" was just a too difficult (or too easy) sentence for you.

I can upload the pdf, but the text file is no no.

Why not just say: You can upload the pdf file, but not the text file.

Makes everybodys life so much easier.

Posting a link to it is fine. However, sending it to others is not the same as hosting it on a web server; we'd rather not have the file hosted with us.
