Only PDF use
I'm looking for an ereader that I'm only going to be using PDF's on.
My price range is about 200-300. I'm currently looking at the PRS600 and Kindle 2, but I'm not confident how well they'll handle PDFs. I'm also wondering if the PDFs convert well to Mobi or whatever. Last edited by RubberDucky451; 03-26-2010 at 10:13 PM. |

The Kindle 2 has extremely poor PDF support. The Sony PRS-600 does a somewhat better job, but I'd suggest that you look at the BeBook Neo / Onyx Boox 60 (the same device). Quote:

As to PDF conversion: check the properties of the PDFs you want to convert. If they are 'tagged' PDFs you have a better chance that the post-editing will be moderate rather than extensive. And also a better chance that they display reasonably well on a reader without conversion.
