Help with Calibre....

Ok I just dowloaded Calibre today to convert some PDF ebooks.... First I want to know how to take off the abc converter thing that shows up at what I think are page breaks. Second I bought some ebooks from ereader.com and I like the way they display on my ereader, is there any way I can get the pdf ebooks I bought to display like that? The ones I bought from ereader.com is in secure ereader format I think. Oh and I have a Jetbook lite.

I usually convert PDF ebooks to ePub or RTF formats. Both formats looks pretty good on my jetBook and jetBook-Lite.

I've tried the epub and I don't prefer it, even though I would choose that over the pdf. Is the rtf simmlar to the epub? And do you know how to get the abc thing out of my books? It is a website and it is very annoying to have pop up in the middle of a sentece and at the end of pages.

Re: Help with Calibre....

Tori,

Have a look at this thread:

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59707

If you absolutely cannot get it to work, I have another -long- method you can try.

RTF is the Rich-Text Format that many word processors use and it allows some basic formatting to be applied to documents. It is sort of in-between the regular text .txt format and word processors' native formats, like Word's .doc and OpenOffice's .odt formats.

Regards,
Bob
