Lit to HTML

Hi.

I have bought ebook in MS LIT format.
When I upload it to Book Designer, only 5-6 pages can be seen. The rest disappears. Calibre creates a good working epub from the same file.
I would like to convert LIT to HTML, so I can upload it to Book Designer. I tried CovertLIT GUI but it creates many html files and it is too much of a pain in the back side to assemble them.
Is there any other way to convert LIT to 1 HTML file?

Thank you in advance,
A.

You say Calibre makes a good epub from the file?

If so, I convert epub files to rtf using calibre. I then open up the rtf file in Open Office (I expect this would also work well using Word) and save as HTML. Works ok for me.

Isn't too much of converting? Lit -> ePub; ePub->RTF; RTF->HTML or RTF->derectly BD? Isn't it prone to loose some formatting here and there? I thought there might be a straight forward way to extract HTML from Lit.

I don't personally use lit files but that's how I get HTML from epub files and I've had no problems with doing it that way.

I expect someone out there probably does know a more direct way of conversion.

ConvertLIT does not do any conversion, so all the HTML files you got going this route is what is in the LIT. I suggest converting to MOBI using Calibre, since I assume this can be imported into Book Designer. MOBI is internally one HTML file, and is relatively close to LIT in capabilities. If you actually want a single HTML convert the MOBI to OEB in Calibre (LIT -> MOBI -> OEB), but the result isn't pretty.

All I wanted was to extract Lit to one HTML.
Too much trouble for one book only. I think I will just have to live with calibre made epub.

Thanks anyway.

OK. I have done it. Old fashioned way.
Used ConvertLIT to extract. Then deleted unnecessary files and renamed a few html files so they are listed in the right order and used Book join from Book Designer to join 44 html files into 1.
Now I can create LRF for myself

You can also just use calbre to convert the file to epub, then extract the files to directory and then open BD and join the epub html files into one file.

I would say it is a bit too many mouse clicks vs. extracting html files from lit, then join them in Book Designer?
