Pages load twice - but only using the buttons
It's happened before, but I didn't pay too much attention. Now lately, it happened again with two different books: Towards the middle of the book, every time I push the next page button, the next page loads twice. I mean it loads once, as expected, I have time to read the first word or two, and then it flashes again and reloads.
Now, I have learned a few things about the structure of epubs lately, so I checked these two books where this happened. Both had fairly large html files in them, more than 200kb each, and the double loading happened towards the end of each file. I'm not sure if it is really relevant, to be honest. Has anyone else noticed anything like this? What is even more weird is that when I go to the next page by swiping with my finger, the annoying double-flashing doesn't happen. It only happens when I use the buttons. No idea how to explain this either. Oh, and when I go to a previous page, and then to the next again, in other words when I go to a page previously loaded, it only loads once, normally. Does anyone know anything about this? |

I have it occasionally. With one badly formated PDF (even pages were text, odd pages were images) it happened a lot. In the last book I read (ePub) it happened a couple of times.
I usually use the buttons to go to the next page so I can't tell if it happens when swiping. Sorry I can't help any further, though I am curious if anyone has an explanation. |

Yes, curious is what I am too.
I actually want to know more why it happens, than how to stop it. ![]() By the way, I double-checked with the epub I'm reading now. The main body of text is divided in two html files. I opened the second one to see where it starts. Right enough, when I reached that part of the text on my reader, the double loading stopped. I'm waiting to see now at what point it will start again.. |
