Advice about PSPGO charger

Hi folks,

I've read here that the PSP charger would work fine with the PRS-505.

Yesterday I found a charger for the new PSPGO, which seems a little bit different. It has the power cord and the power supply with a USB connector in it.

Anybody here knows whether this model will work with the Reader or not?

Not sure if that one will work but I got a Nokia Charger for mine and it works fine, I'll get more info on the charger when I get home.

Most USB charger units don't work as the eReader expects a "live" computer on the other end (or some activity/voltage on the data lines). General recommendation is external charger should use barrel adapter (miniature Philips plug).

I know for sure that any PSP adapter pre PSPGO will charge the PRS-505 will work.

I have a PSP-1000 series and 3000 series, the chargers from both those models works without issue, so it's reasonably safe to assume that any PSP model between the original and the 3000 works fine.

Almost certainly not - you should look for one that uses a round barrel connector rather than a USB connector.

Thanks for the advices. I found better be safe than sorry, so I've bought a PSP adapter for C$ 14,90 and it worked perfectly.
