Free book (Sony) - 50 Hours (NaNoWriMo Winner 2010)

Free from Sony, 50 Hours, an adventure novel by Marie Seltenrych, which won NaNoWriMo 2010. Kindle doesn't carry the electronic version; the paper version sells at the Amazon store for $30 from lulu.com, or $14.95 the from CreateSpace. I'm not quite sure why the difference in pricing, as the number of pages of the two manuscripts is the same.

There are no reviews that I can refer to.

Quote:
Intrigue, mystery and deep emotional issues are discovered in this fresh new novel, when three Aussie middle-aged women find themselves in a Bali jail in danger of the death penalty. Confessions and bonding surface as they cling to hope. Determined to get out of their squalid cell, they attempt an escape, which goes horribly wrong. A surprise awaits them as they complete 50 hours and a devastating shock. Susan Mahoney (Facebook) said, "It is a masterpiece..." You will be moved and enjoy every moment of this sometimes hilarious work.

Why are all of her books free on Sony? Are they as lame as they sound?

Likely, it was free on Smashwords, so Sony picked up the price. Should be the same on Smashwords, B&N and Kobo (but they all vary in how quickly they pick up price changes from Smashwords), if the author checked the boxes to send them to all the stores.

Actually it is at Smashwords for.$1.99 at the present time anyway.

What might concern some is that it has a publication date of Dec 19th of 2010 and as NaNoWriMo ended on Dec 1st some might think the editing was a bit rushed.

Am I the only that finds the phrase "...in danger of the death penalty" a bit odd?
