Hello everyone,
I should have introduced myself earlier. I've lurked for awhile and finally joined just after I orded my Aztak PocketPro (which I absolutely LOVE). My eyes are getting a little too bad to read comfortably on my old Palm Zire anymore. I am from North Carolina and I love to read just about any genre; science fiction, history mysteries, and anything else really.

Thank you for such an informative forum. I am looking forward to being a part of the mobileread community.

Desert Grandma- The name is just a play on the old english oath "odds bodkins". I've read it in an old book, but I can't remember which one right now.

There are a lot of tarheels here, I see. I'm from Old Fort in McDowell County.

That's it! However, I think I first remember reading it in something like the old "children's hour" story books or something like that. I believe it was a fairy tale of some sort. Another person on phrases site said they heard it on Bugs Bunny, so we've probably heard it on there too:
