Hello to all...
Just stopping by to introduce myself as gently suggested by the community. I've had my Kindle 2 for just under 8 months (replaced once) and love it. But I still switch between old school books and the reader, so I have not yet fully understood all the many ways the Kindle can change the reading experience. Looking forward to lurking my way through these forums to find good reads and interesting tricks to teach my Kindle.

Okay.......you asked!

You haven't noticed that you can carry your entire library with you whereever you go in a device that is the size of a small paperback?

Or that you can read what you want where you want anytime you want?

Or that the font is adjustable?

Or that it automatically bookmarks the page you left off on?

Or that instead of holding a huge volume of something, all books are the same weight now?

Or that you can eat and read at the same time by propping up your k2 and just clicking the turn page button with one finger? (this is huge....

Or how about the thousands of FREE books available here and other places, both by well known authors and independents.......jewels all.........and did I mention FREE?

Oi, you guys are tough. I HAD figured out several of those tricks - but I like the eating and reading suggestion... hadn't worked that one out yet.
