I am about to enter the e-reading world. I have diverse reading interests, spanning from the frivolous (chess, sci-fi, fantasy) to the serious (technical and journal articles). I've been lurking for a while and think this board is a wonderful resource. So thank-you to the organizers !

Thanks guys! Maybe the Sony PRS-900 is in my future. In fact, I think it should be arriving early next week

I think it strikes the right balance between portability and usability. But I do wish that I'd been able to look at one in the store before I purchased...

Keep in mind that you can download a bunch (1400+) or free ebooks here on this site prior to even getting your sony. That way you have a nice collection to put on your reader once you get it.
