I dont think ill be ordering one as i already have a laptop and E-Reader and, in all honesty i wouldnt take it out the house. Why I hear you ask well id be terrified of getting mugged!

I'm holding off as well. I don't like the reports of Apple imposing their own DRM scheme on the ePub files nor do I like the closed ecosystem of the iPhone OS.

Yes, yes, I know; I can strip the DRM and (maybe) jailbreak the iPad. But I don't want to have to do that on any device I buy.

But I *do* sincerely hope that everyone who buys one is happy with it and gets exactly what they were expecting.

You had me going. I wasn't going to order, then I went to the Apple website. No USB interface. As cool as it is, there is no way to get content onto it. I have built up an incredible library in Calibre, and I don't intent to rebuy all those books from the ibook store.

Great point. We still don't know about DRM and whether the Kindle App will run on it or not.
