What do you know about the history of the mobile phone. Here's a short five question quiz to check out your knowledge.

I got four out of five, only missing the bit about which film first featured a mobile phone. I would brag about that more wholeheartedly, but I think I was pretty lucky also.

BTW, did you know that the US Congress cut off Alexander Graham Bell as inventor of the telephone. Apparently, he stole the idea from a lab he had worked in, and then built a fortune for himself.

The original inventor was "an impoverished Florentine immigrant" who couldn't even afford to patent the invention. "The vote by the House of Representatives prompted joyous claims in Meucci's homeland that finally Bell had been outed as a perfidious Scot who found fortune and fame by stealing another man's work."

Sounds like one more reason to issue a new history textbook... making used books worthless, and boosting new book sales. It's a shame we don't all use e-texts that are updated easily and inexpensively!
