Now thats funny.
Doesn't do anything different than the plate holder I bought at BB&B for $2.99 and I get the privilege of paying $20 for it........ ![]() |

I bought an elegant flip top, swish leather 'Easy i' cover for my 505 that does this job and others much more comfortably and a darned site more elegantly, and at about the same price. Neil

Wow. That's not only fairly useless, but it's that hideous beige-y color I thought we'd escaped at the end of the 80's.

Nice idea, though...
Gives me some thoughts for a home DIY project. Something a bit more compact, more portable, take up less room in my bag... hmmmmm.... just a slot to hold the reader and an arm to hold it up. ![]() Maybe a slot made from Kydex, a heat-moldable plastic, (gotta borrow my wife's hair drier again) attached with a pivot (so it will fold and fit into my pack) to an narrower arm to support the weight. "T" shaped. Arm can be 5 inches of plastic channel used for hiding electric cords along the baseboard. That should be more than rigid enough to support the weight of the reader. This sounds like a 15 minute project. Maybe 20 if I round off the edges and make it look pretty. ![]() Damn! I really needed something to fill the afternoon! Maybe give some thoughts to developing a reader with a 'Heads Up' display! ![]() Stitchawl Last edited by Stitchawl; 12-25-2009 at 07:52 PM. |

When I prefer a naked, hands-free Kindle DX I use the FlexStand and love it - adjustable angle, both vertically and horizontally:
