Can someone guide me please? I have a book on my Kindle that I'd like to transfer to my computer. Is this possible? How can I do it? Many thanks for any assistance.

If it's a Kindle book and you mean transfer it to your computer for reading, you can't do that. You need to download the Kindle for PC desktop reader (if you're on a Mac, that version is coming but not available Ou then use K4PC to re-download the book to your computer. If it is not a Kindle book, use your USB cable to transfer the book from the "documents" folder on your Kindle to your computer. |

daffy4u is correct about reading an Amazon Kindle book on your computer, you have to use the Kindle for PC application to get the book in a readable form.
You can, however, backup all of the files on your Kindle on to your computer pretty easily. Plug in the Kindle with the USB cable. It behaves just like an external hard drive, so you can drag or copy & paste files from (or to) your kindle to your computer. The kindle books are located in the "Documents" directory (folder) of your Kindle. |
