Which reader?

I am thinking of buying the Kindle 2, it would appear that I can now download using the 3G phone network in Australia....can anyone tell me why I should or shouldn't and if not, what would be a good alternative?

There are a lot of threads here that compare the various readers. Just use the search feature. I have a Nook and my wife has a Kindle2. Those 2 and probably the Sony readers seem to be most popular though there are many others. 3 months ago I hardly even knew ereaders and ebooks existed and I'm a gadget freak. I have learned a wealth of knowledge about them in the couple of months I have visited this forum.

If you are not a real technical type person, in other words you want it to just work.... And you truly want to buy books via 3G, and like the idea of buying Amazon format books.... then I would say the Kindle 2 would be the best. I have never owned one, but they seem to be the most consumer friendly in their ease of set up, buying and reading.

Whatever you get.... read the heck out of it!

Oh, and welcome to the neighborhood!
