International Kindle 2 works in Peru
Just a heads-up: The Kindle 2 loads up Amazon's ebook page effortlessly, and I have no difficulty paging through the different screens, etc.
I will be charged a $1.99 if I decide to download anything wirelessly, however. This post is for information only. Don |

Congratulations! Are you filled with joy unbound? Will you continue to buy your books the old way? If you download from your archive are you charged or just for new purchases made with the K2i?

Not if Don's Kindle is registered in the USA. In that case, he would only be charged the additional fee if he were to download the book wirelessly from Peru.

And on the beach in the old town south-side of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Amazon has an "international 3G map" someone on its site. I checked that before buying my Kindle 2 Global Edition for primary use in Canada in November. Total holiday success for this happy camper. Erm, happy beach bum. ¡Olé!
