Dunno about changing the actual font used, but just pressing the far bottom right button with the + in an magnifying glass will cycle through three font sizes for you.

Font size change
On the prs 300 there are 4 buttons along the bottom of the screen. The one on the far left returns you to the home screen, the next one takes you back one page from where you are now. The third button is your bookmark button and the last one on the right changes your font size. It has a + symbol on it. On this reader there are 3 sizes to choose from , small, medium,& large. When you change the size you will see either an S, M, or L on the bottom of the screen. If you are reading a pdf book this might not work. It will work well in e-pub format. Good luck.

As far as I know you can not change the font with this reader. I always read on L as my eyesight is not the greatest either.

I only get about 5 words per line on the L setting on my 300. You will get it to appear a little bigger again if you switch to landscape mode. Hold down the + button for 5(?) seconds to switch it between portrait and landscape modes.

My suggestion is to return the 300 and get a 900.

I don't use it myself either and am fine just on the S font size in portrait unless the light is bad in which case I may up it to M.

Another way to get larger fonts is to convert to another format using Calibre. In the conversion process you can choose the "base" font size.... so make the base 14 or 16 and the S,M, L on the reader are all larger than before....

Have a look here http://calibre-ebook.com/download
Download it and play with it for a while - particularly the conversion settings. I use a base font of 13 and set the margins to zero. If you want to change the font type work through the sticky in the epub forum https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36361 As a newbie I found this tricky to work out but I got there in the end. This should set you in the right direction ![]() |

+1: Excellent advice. On one hand, you'll invest some time learning the software package, figuring out how to customize output formats, and so on. On the other hand, for me it's been time well spent. Calibre is a fantastic program, and I always use it to customize my books. With it I can remove justification, change to a sans serifed font, decrease margin size, adjust font size, etc.
