Thanks! And silly question...

Hey! I've been reading the archives -- thanks everybody for the great advice!

I've got one more question. I'm in and out of lots of computers -- one at home, labs at school, and computers at work, and I get lots of stuff to read. I love plucker, and I can run the distiller on any computer, but I don't have sync software on everything, so I'd like to copy the pdb files directly to the SD card without syncing. Can I do that?

Thanks everybody!

As long as you have an SD card reader, yes.

Copy the PDBs to the /Palm/Launcher or /Palm/Programs/Plucker directory on the card.

Laurens is too modest. He didn't mention that his own program, Sunrise XP, is in many ways better than the Plucker distiller. You could also copy the PDBs that program produces with a card reader (or with a Palm-based card reader program like Card Reader or CardExport2) in lieu of hotsync.

Sunrise is AMAZING!

Wow...sunrise XP is AMAZING!

I installed it on my work laptop and it works great! For some reason if I copy into Palm/Ebooks it crashes plucker, but if I copy it into the Launcher area it works great. I blame my crazy TX.

Laurens, you're awesome. I figured it'd work for standard HTML stuff, but it even grinds through my crazy technical papers with ease. And I just have to pull it up in firefox and click "send to sunrise", and any paper I'm reading is on the palm.

I liked it so much I set up a paypal account just to donate. Whee! Thanks man.
