Is this the new lined cover?

The picture of the v5 case on Jinke's site appears to have a lining (like the one I have).

Is this the new lining they installed to prevent the paint problems? (if you have an old case, does it look different?)

I bought mine in September and the case looks the same. Perhaps in the new cases they have used a different lining material. With the frequency that Jinke update their website I would bet good money on it is the original case.

Looks exactly like mine, that arrived in the first PEz shipment.

I was sure they claimed they had "added" a lining. Apparently it always did have a lining then. Mine looks like this one too.

The lining (stiffener?) changed may be what is inside the 2 layers of material.

No, they said that it was contact between the old case and the paint that made it peel. To me, that seems to say it has to something actually touching the PP that was changed, not a stiffener that never actually will touch the paint.

I think they just replaced the white lining on the new cases. I know Robert has covered it, but I'm not completely convinced the cover was the sole cause of the wrinkling, especially given the Bebook mini had been reported to have wrinkled and do not come with covers.

I had EZReaders from the first, peeling shipment and from the second shipment. The covers seem the same. However, the finish feels different on the second shipment devices. The finish is harder. The first one felt looser. I can't explain it better than that. But the change is in the finish on the device, I think.

P.S. I haven't had a bit of trouble with the second-batch device. The finish is still perfect.

Nice, that's definitely attractive, that was my second choice. I wanted the classic maroon, it's a nice matte red.

I will try to post pictures of the new lined case and give a description. We are in a year-end audit and inventory is frozen today and tomorrow so I cannot pull one out yet.

Thank you, all, about mentioning the colors. We think they turned out beautiful (and they were hand-picked by MobileRead Forum members). I have heard nothing but good comments on the choice of our colors. I am partial, myself, to the Metallic Purple (which REALLY captures attention).
