Barbara

I have been using a PDA since the first Palm Pilot device. I discovered e-books more than 10 years ago and have an extensive library which have transfered from a number of OS devices including the Sony Clie. My current e-reader is Palm TX with a 2G SD card. The new e-readers are appealing but I am only interested in an open device which will allow me to continue to read e-reader and mobipocket books that I own as well as accessing books through online libraries that I currently use.

Welcome to MobileRead Barbara!

I was a Palm TX reader, but defected to a CyBook - I've been able to transfer all my books across (with a bit of format shifting here and there); but I'm mostly reading newly downloaded stuff now.

Hi Barbara and welcome to MobileRead. Like you, I started on a PDA; in my case an iPaq and liked it fine, that is, till I got my hands on an eInk device. Am now hooked on my Sony 505 and have been able to convert all my MobiPocket books over.
