The iRex Iliad

I have several ereaders -- an iRex Iliad, Sony 505, Nokia N800 and a SmartQ 7. They all work well, but strangely I find myself using the Iliad more than the others in spite of its obvious shortcomings. You have to turn it off when you're not using it, as its battery doesn't last very long. You have to make pdf's for it (I use Book Designer), which is harder than generating an fb2 or lrf. I've been trying to figure out why I use the Iliad in preference to the others, and I think it has to do with ergonomics. It's just more comfortable to hold and turn pages with. And, of course, you see more text than on the smaller machines (SmartQ 7 shows a lot of text too, of course). In any event, the size of the Iliad, the bar for turning pages, and the feel in one's hand all seem to compensate for its obvious shortcomings.
