Hello to all

Hi,
I am new to this forum. Very interested in Mobile book readers. I thought the Kindle was a "tough " read because of the smallness of content page--and the screen turning black on the page turn?? I will constantly be looking in this forum for tips and comments.. How is the Sony as compared to Kindle.. With the prs300 you can read in Landscape ...maybe get more page content???
Thank you for this forum... JIM COLE jamey15

Welcome. The 6" Sony and Kindle2 use the same display screen with the same characteristics -- EInk must be reset to display new information thus the black "flash"

Welcome to MobileRead, Jim.

The Kindle is very easy to read on, and I do not notice a "black" on the page turn.

Remember that you can purchase one, keep it for 30 days, and return anytime within that period for a full refund. This gives you a while to download books, (free or samples) and see if you like it. Right now the K1's sell for $149 with free two day shipping, and the K2's sell for $259.

As for the screen size....I'm a quick reader and have no problems with it.

Now, if you are talking graphs, or textbooks, you may want to look at a bigger screen, (DX) or one of the many other readers available.

Good luck with whichever one you choose!
