Diff in Discontinued and New M-Edge Cover?

Does anyone know how the discontinued M-Edge Cover differs from the new version?

I think I would prefer Pebble Black, which is a discontinued style. I do not see Pebbled Black in the new version. So perhaps the manufacturing is the same, but just the leather is disc?

I would really like to know the answer to this too because I need to buy a new cover. I haven't had my reader a month yet and the pink leather cover I bought for it broke yesterday. I am very disapointed! the llittle plastic things that hold the book in place broke where it attached to the leather. and I babied this like you wouldn't believe. I wonder why these were not made out of metal instead of plastic.

I think the new M-Edge covers are a little slimmer. Looking at the picutres, everything else looks exactly the same as my original M-Edge Executive cover. The slot on the front for the flap closure looks a bit more prominent than the original.

Without comparing the two side-by-side I can't give any more details.

I think the only difference is the styling (the strap around the body) and that the new covers have a slot for the reading light that they're coming out with later.

I bought mine one WEEK before the new ones were announced - I wish I'd known, I could have got $10 off the one I bought.

Yes, artemisblossom, it does.

Check out M-edge's website and look at the Kindle covers and reading light. The Sony light will fit into the Sony covers in the same way, when they bring the light out this summer.

is the m-edge cover availabe on line only or do some stores carry it. My husband is travelling in the states this week and if I can find a place that sells them I will get him to bring one home

Just picked-up the M-edge Genuine Leather Executive Jacket for Sony Reader PRS-505 (Pebbled Black) - for 19.99 at Amazon Discontinued Version ALL SALES FINAL if this helps anyone! They also have Mocha!

It's really just subtle styling & color. The new covers seem a bit sleeker, but are actually a fraction larger & heavier (old = 7 x 0.8 x 5.5 inches & 4 oz; new = 7 x 1 x 5.8 inches & 5.4 oz). The new one has the room for the new light included. The strap on the new one continues completely around the cover, whereas the old one was just fastened near the front & back edges. The color selection is much wider on the new one. The old ones, I believe had interior colors to match the outside, whereas the new ones appear to all have the same gray microfiber interior.

I have the new one, and adore it, but I have heard equally glowing reviews for the old style. And the old style is on sale for $19.99.

I am awaiting their arrival. I ordered the old style for myself and my husband, because was set on the pebbled black. I ordered the new style for my daughter in dark blue for her blue reader.

I currently love the comfort of my Franklin Planner that i removed the ring binder from and am using as a cover for my sony. The ONLY issue is that it is about 1 1/2 " thick. which is pretty chunky in my purse. Hoping the m-edge is an answer between the two.
