newbie thanks all of you pocket pro owner/reviewers :)

Thanks so much, I just just just ordered a purple one based on all of these excellent reviews, and robertb's chiming in on lots of them helped too.

My dad bought me a sony 700 back in July, and I returned it due to it not being mac compatible, and reading reviews saying mac compatible ones were going to be coming out, and cheaper ($549CAD for the 700? That's a whole lotta new shoes )

Just went a couple days ago to check out the 300 and 600, and did NOT like them. I've been reading on my itouch the last month, and prefer a smaller font/less page turns- the 300's smallest font size provided the same wordcount I get on my itouch, so what was the point really?

I'm so excited, hope it lives up to my expectations! So once again, thanks.

One question though, says 3-8 font sizes...How does one get the smallest font? Does it have to be a certain format ebook?

I think that should be 3-5 sizes. Most formats have 3 (or 2) font sizes, which are pre-set with the largest one usually in landscape mode. MOBI has 3 sizes, all in portrait. FB2 has five sizes in both portrait and landscape. Adobe Digital Editions (ePub and PDF) has five sizes in both portrait and landscape, but for PDF the smallest size is "full page" and the others are "reflow" (extract the text and show it like other ebook formats, try to keep images as well).

Hi Suzymca! Welcome to MobileRead.

I hope you will like your Pocket Pro as much as I do mine. The great thing about MobileRead is that if you run into any trouble or have questions, there's always someone willing to help you out.

The number of font sizes available in a book depends on the format it's in. Epub and PDF have 8, the others I've tried have 3. Switching between the font sizes is really easy. When you first open a book, it will display with the smallest size font. You just press the 8 button to increase up to the next size. If that's not large enough, you just press the 8 button again.
