PPC Question

A colleague has a PPC, and not knowing a darn thing about them, asked me to help her out. I'm clueless with PPC's so figured I'd throw it out to the MR community.

The thing's 1 year old and has never been used. She's getting zero battery charge, and will only run if sitting in the cradle off of AC power. She's charged it for over 6 hours, but still no go.

Is it possible that her battery's dead? Seems kinda strange given that it's never been used. It's an IPAQ H2210. Any tricks that can resurrect it?

Thanks

I answered my own question, so I figured that I'd share:

Apparently the 22xx series has a problem with the battery casing and a tendency to easily fritz. If the unit is jostled or the battery door takes a hit, your battery will simply die. Probably why they discontinued them.

Anyway, the good news is that there are a plethora of cheap batteries to be had on eBay.

And this is one of the advantages of most PPC devices: easy to replace batteries.

True true, but this unit was $400 street until they discontinued it. Seems to me that cheap parts doesn't make up for shoddy hardware. Fortunately my colleague got it for free.
