Do you put a screen protector on your PRS-600?

I'm used to putting screen protector on my LCD gadgets, so I'm wondering if I should do the same for my PRS-600. I'm looking at a Martin Fields overlay plus screen protector, but since this is a E-Ink screen, I'm not sure if the usual screen protectors will be good for it... whether it enhances the clarify (esp under light), or make it worst.

Anyone with experience in this area pls? Thanks!

i'd imagine it would depend on if you got a matte or glossy protector, but i'd think a glossy protector would make a LOT of glare, like a glossy laptop screen.

And a matte protector would make a text a lot less readable So I prefer no protector for now.

I found a screen protector online someplace that was made for the 505 which cut down on glare. Don't remember the site.

I'm sure I want a screen protector, just not sure which one. Reading reviews on Amazon, it seems the anti-glare protectors cause loss of clarity. Some get bubbles, others don't stick well enough . . . gah! What's a persnickety reader to do?? In addition, I did not know that the 505 has the same size screen (it does, right??), so I have been waiting for these companies to make the right size!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you should probably save your time. Those films work on transmissive (backlit) displays which come glossy mainly to improve color saturation. There's no benefit to glossiness for a monochrome reflective display, so if the touchscreen could be improved with an anti-glare treatment, Sony would have already done it. Any film you apply will diffuse all reflected light, reducing clarity as it reduces glare. If you're persnickety enough to obsess over the glare, the blurriness and dust and bubbles would really drive you crazy with a screen protector.

I have several devices, all have a screen protector. And none have bubbles and dust. Though, I should replace the one on my PDa as it is getting more and more scratches.

I'd probably put an anti-glare protector on a touch-screen, if the screen itself wouldn't suffer from it. At least my screen won't be scratched, but the protector. And you can replace that easily...
