Opus Opus color options

Is it just me or is Bookeen behind the game in offering color options for the case? Sonys readers come in more than 1 color, as do Cool-ers. I know its a totally superficial thing but hey I want my reader in a color other than white, or off white.

Perhaps we should suggest that they delay the firmware upgrade for three months while they work on more colour options?

Seriously, for me personally it's entirely irrelevent. White is a nice "neutral" colour.

) The white Opus certainly looks miles better then the G3. That was one uuuuugly device for something so high-tech. At least the white Opus kinda has that iPod coolness.

And you could always pick up a nice case. If these readers do get popular, I expect we'll see some good cases in the near future from people like Griffin and Noreve.

I'm ok with that. Besides, the Opus comes with ADE, why downgrade it to Mobipocket?

Yeah I won't deny that it is a superficial thing, and that having good software would be best. But hey I would like some stylishness in my reader, in addition to working software.

Different colors would've been cool... This kind of iOpus-feeling...

But honestly, me thinks it wouldn't be that hard to make 5 different color versions.

BTW: Being white, the Opus is perfectly ready to be redyed, spray-painted or kinda like...

Sadly Bookeen has made it look like a downgrade, while it's a sidegrade. Just by numbering the Mobi version 1.5 (making it a dead-end) and the ePub 2.0 they pictured the image of ePub being superior to Mobi (NO, I don't want to start the Mobi-ePub discussion again).

But to answer the question: Because ADE is a pain in the *ss (Linux anyone?), I need no DRM (who does anyway?), Mobi hasn't let me down so far and it comes with NEEDED dictionary support! And I don't care if the format I use is called Mobi, ePub or Shnidlwutz as long as it has adjustable fonts, font sizes, justification and dictionary support (apart from software tools and a stable reader on my device)...

BTW: I hate this format wars (Betamax-VHS, HDVD-Blueray, AAC-MP3 etc.) - it's all about money, the best one rarely wins and the customers pay the bill...

We had a word about that during the meet-up. The people from bookeen said that choosing the colors had been a mess, if they wanted colors that didn't attract the eye (and thus distract you from your reading)

Then, having some other colors would be nice

Even if ePub have it disadvantage (ADE, silly page numbers, crappy jusstification support...), it also have advantages (open, easily edited). And the French publishers have chosen to go ePub only, so they kinda made the choice for me. If I want to read anything in my own language... And i miss reading in franch, but the publication in french is poor and expensive. (17 euros an e-book ???)

Don´t you insult my Gen3

By the way, white iPod is ugly. As for the opus, you always are supposed to touch/hold it, so I´m afraid it could get dirty as time passes.

No, I left it out to make it look more american (or yiddisch where it really must be coming from...).

(Explanation for all non-german speakers: "Schniedelwutz" is some comical german term for the p*nis! BTW: According to my dictionary the correct translation is "willy" - which is a commonly used german short form of the names Willibald, Wilhelm or Wilfried...)

So is black

. While it's not a deal-breaker for me, a light-colored casing does make one perceive the e-ink screen background as darker.
