Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and I would really appreciate your help.
I have the Kindle2 and have have bought books from Fictionwise for my kindle. The transfer of the multi-format books works perfectly on it but the other books are DRM'd and won't work on the kindle. So they remain on my Mac, which is the only way to read them at the moment. I paid for these books and think it's quite unfair that I can't read them on device I want to. Just so that you know, I live in the Middle East so I can't even buy the kindle books from Amazon. Last edited by wildflowers; 08-27-2009 at 04:17 AM. |

Welcome to mobileread. Unfortunately, you can't read DRMed Mobipocket books bought from fictionwise on your Kindle. (Or any other of the DRMed formats from Fictionwise). There are scripts to remove DRM from most formats, including Mobipocket, eReader and Microsoft .lit. Unfortunately, due to various laws forbidding the distribution of software designed to circumvent a technological protection on copyright materials, I can't tell you here what they are or where to find them. But you should find info around that will lead you to them. Quote:

As pdurrant has said, you can find the information about decrypting the books you purchased by doing a Google search. The format of the books you purchased from Fictionwise will determine which script you'll need. Good luck. Happy Reading! |
