Charging 505
Hi guys
I was in hospital all last week and decided to just take my iphone to read on and left my 505 at home. Well I tried to turn it on today and its dead so I am USB charging it. So far its still dead there is nothing not even the charging symbol. Could it be that the battery is so flat that its just going to take a long time, or do you think its seriously dead? My daughter has a PSP so I can try that to charge it but I will have to wait for her to come home from school as Im not upto wading through her bedroom looking fot it lol Thoughts please? (please dont tell me its gone for ever) Dawn |

Is your computer on while you're charging it? If not it won't charge.

Wait until your daughter gets home and let it stay plugged in on the PSP charger for a while (several hours at least). I've heard of this happening, just be patient

You should be able to use it if the charging light is on and you're using a psp charger. When my 700 starts dying from using the lights I just plug it in while I'm reading. You can't do that w/ the usb port, but you can with the a/c adapter.

For future reference: Most readers will not charge Via USB port from PC if the battery is totally drained. I have no idea why this is, but it's true of even most phones.....

Actually I did have a totally dead one and left it plugged in to USB no lights came of nothing- left it for about 2-3 hours came back tried turning it on to get a light and got one, then left it plugged in rest of day and it was just fine.
My heart was in throat for a while tho. |

PSP chargers (separate wall/car chargers, or a PSP power/data cable) are far preferable than the usb slot for charging any Reader. (If I had a nickel for every time I posted this, I think I could buy a new 600!
